Emma was born and raised in the farmlands of the Midwestern United States. She obtained an Associate in Science degree from Lincoln Trail College, becoming the first person in her family to earn a college degree. Emma continued her education at Southern Illinois University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry. Emma attended her first year of law school at the University of Houston and her final two years at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law where she earned a Juris Doctorate degree cum laude in 2008. While in law school, Emma became a mediator in the State of Texas, served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Indiana Health Law Review and was a research assistant for two health law professors. Emma has interned with the Indiana Court of Appeals. Emma has been licensed to practice in Texas since 2008 and the United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2010.
Emma has been married for seven years and is the mother of three children, a seven year old girl, a five year old boy and two year old girl. She is also the proud pet parent of weimaraner. Currently, Emma lives in Florida and travels to Texas periodically to meet clients and attend court. She is only available for telephone consultations.
